Yes, there is a plant shortage,

Sunday: 10-5 | Monday-Saturday: 8:00-5:30

Supply and Demand

To all our valued customers,

Please be prepared for longer than normal wait times.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, and subsequent shelter in place and stay at home orders, there has been an unprecedented demand for plants nationwide. Combined with the historic winter storm and power outages we just experienced, supplies of plants have never been tighter.

We know many of you lost plants in the recent freeze. So did growers all across the state. We’ve heard from suppliers that lost entire greenhouses and whole fields of plants. We now have a situation where demand is higher than ever while supplies are lower than ever. 2020 brought shortages of toilet paper. 2021 is beginning with shortages of plants.

What You Should Expect

There may be long lines of cars waiting to enter our store. Parking has always been limited at our location, lately it has been even more so. Please do NOT park next door at the Kiddie Academy, Monday through Friday. They are gracious enough to allow us to park there, but only on weekends.

We ask that you please be patient. If there is a long line of cars due to limited parking, consider coming back at another time. Weekdays from 8-10 AM tend to be the slowest times.

If you find the plant that you’re looking for, you should buy it then as it may not be there tomorrow and we may not receive any more. Know also that some plants are smaller than normal this year due to the high demand and limited supply. Growers are sending us what they can, and some of the material isn’t as mature as it normally would be.

Please know that we are doing everything we can to secure plants. This situation is temporary and will resolve itself in time. Until then, we appreciate your patience and understanding.

Thank you.
